Francis Wayne Tennant Sr., age 89 of Braceville entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Francis was born on December 14, 1926 in Alma, WV the son of the late Benton & Suzanna (Thomas) Tennant. He has lived in Braceville since 1948, formerly of Meclroy, WV. Francis married the former Garnett E. Gaston on August 13, 1948. Francis & Garnett were blessed with 51 wonderful years of marriage before her passing on February 18, 2000. He was employed as a tow motor operator with Rockwell International. Francis previously owned Tennant Tack & Western Wear and currently owned Tennant Trophies. He was a member of the Braceville United Methodist Church. Francis was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, enjoyed gardening, fishing and photography. Francis was a 4H supporter. Loving memories of Francis will be carried on by his son; Francis "Butch" (Teri) Tennant Jr. of Braceville, sisters; Reah Joann (Ferrell) Goff of Braceville, Marjorie Ann Haney of Leavittsburg, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Francis was preceded in death by his wife, Garnett, his son, Stanly Tustin Tennant and sister, Delcie Broher and brothers, Danie and Harley Tennant. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at the funeral Home. Francis will be laid to rest at Braceville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions may be made to the Braceville United Methodist Church, 589 Park Rd.
