Freddie Ray Duncan age 64 passed away unexpectedly at his home in Newton Falls, OH on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Fred was born on April 14, 1949 in Bridgton, NJ the son of Edwin Mohan & Mary (Furrow) Duncan. He grew up in Oakwood Village and Warrensville Heights. Fred married his loving wife Beth Ann Sanders on April 26, 1986. He was formerly of Mantua and then moved to Newton Falls in 1997. Fred worked as a fork lift mechanic for Ohio Material Handling in Bedford for 5 years. Previously he worked for Aluminum Smelting as a Foreman for 9 years.
Fred was a member of the US Navy. He enjoyed building choppers, and cars from the ground up. He also liked drag racing in his younger years.
Memories of Fred will be carried on by his loving family; his wife Beth A. Duncan of Newton Falls, his sons Aaron & Edwin Duncan all of Newton Falls; his sisters and their husbands Linda & Terry Scarbro of Beckley,WV,, Joyce & Jerry Mullins of Beckley,WV; his cousins that he grew up with Eddie Allen, Warren David, & Linda Furrow of Bluefield,VA.
Calling hours will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00PM. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 3:00PM, followed by Military Services at the funeral home. Fred will be laid to rest at St. Michael's Cemetery in Newton Falls.
