Gary "Joe" Reed, age 57 of Newton Falls passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Westerville, OH from a heart attack. Gary was born on June 4, 1960 in Barberton, the son of Gary Joseph & Beatrice Loraine (Carden) Reed. Joe had lived in Paris Twp. his entire life. Joe worked in Campus Operations as a maintenance man at NEOMED in Rootstown. He enjoyed drag racing at Quaker City and attending the Gator Nationals. Joe was a die hard Chevy guy, he enjoyed working on cars in his garage, riding his Harley, spending time with his friends and visiting his brothers. Loving memories of Joe will be carried on by his mother Beatrice Reed of Jacksonville, FL, loving companion Cindy Pahls Miller of Paris Twp., brothers; Missions Pastor Dick Reed and his wife Samantha of Jacksonville, FL, Daniel Reed and his companion Luby Jordan of Olive Branch, MS, nieces; Amanda Schulting, Laura Reed, Melissa Reed, his nephew Gary Reed and his pup and companion Axel. Joe was preceded in death by his father. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at James Funeral Home.
