George E. Woodyard, age 90, of Braceville passed peacefully into eternal life on July 16, 2013 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital of natural causes. On May 12, 1923, in Reedy, WV, Grover & Cora Mae (Coe) Woodyard, were blessed with the birth of their son, George. George married the love of his life, Elizabeth G. Taylor, on February 12, 1956 and they enjoyed 56 blessed years of marriage together before she passed away on July 20, 2012. George & Elizabeth had lived in Newton Falls since 2009, formerly of Braceville since 1957. George had worked as an autoworker for Packard Electric for many years. He was a member of the US Army serving during the Korean War. Memories of George will be carried on by his loving family; his daughter & son-in-law Martha & Matthew Montgomery of Newton Falls; his two grandchildren Roy & Lee Montgomery both of Newton Falls; and his brother Dwayne of Leavittsburg. George was preceeded in death by his parents, his son Timothy Woodyard, his sisters Anna Woodyard, Gracie V. Woodyard, his brothers Charles W. Woodyard and Dearman Woodyard. Funeral Services will be held at the First Church of God in Newton Falls on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10:00AM with calling hours 1 hour prior form 9:00AM to 10:00AM. There will also be calling hours at James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. George will be laid to rest next to his wife in Braceville Cemetery.
