Obituary

Gerald Maletis Everett, age 66 of Diamond passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday February 18, 2010 at his residence from a long battle with cancer. Gerald was born on May 5, 1943 in Elkins, WV the son of the late Claude M. and Olive (Isner) Everett. Gerald married the love of his life Lou Dickenson on Oct. 12, 1971 and they have been married a blessed 38 years. Gerald has lived in Diamond for the past 29 years formerly of Akron. He worked as a forklift operator for 28 years for Hallstar Inc. in Stow. Gerald was a veteran of the US Army serving proudly during the Vietnam War as a sharpshooter. He loved his family, beer and country music. Memories of Gerald will be carried on by his wife, Lou Everett of Diamond, daughter and son-in-law, Michele & Alan Arthur of Lowellville, grandson, Joshua Logan Everett, granddaughters, Allee Marks and Cayla Arthur, sisters, Carol Brown of Royse City, TX, Velma Brimston of Akron, Melva Newman of Rogersville, PA, Mary Alice Gilroy of Elkins, WV, brothers, Cecil Everett of Worcester, MA and Birt & Rosie Everett of Charlotte, NC. Gerald was preceeded in death by his parents, a son, Scott Q. Everett and three brothers, Rondall, Ken & Glen Everett. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 23, 2010 at 7:00 pm at James Funeral Home in Newton Falls where calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.
