Obituary

Geraldine “Gerry:”, “Granny” Fuller age 96 passed peacefully into eternal rest on Friday Oct. 16, 2026 at her daughter’s home with her family with her. She was born December 4, 1929, to Sylvan R. Smith and Grace M. (Cleaves) Smith the first of 8 children, and attended Champion schools where she lettered in track and softball. She married Joseph Fuller on May 11, 1957 and they enjoyed 22 years of marriage together before he passed away on May 5, 1979. She most recently lived in Surprise, Arizona, but lived in Braceville most of her life with Joe where they had a good life on the farm while raising 8 children.

She was a long-time member of the Eagle Creek Chapel and Warren SCOPE where she was named Volunteer of the Year 2011. Some of her interests included going to flea markets, playing rock’n’roll music, and watching Cleveland Indians baseball. Supporting Veterans was important to her. She especially loved being with friends and family at the Fuller Farm.

The Fuller Farm is where she made everyone feel at home. Her $2 bills were her good-luck charms and her smiley faces were her original emojis. She left happiness everywhere she went along with a whole lot of people who felt special like they had another mom or granny. She gave of herself generously and unconditionally.

She was preceded in death by many she loved. Her parents and husband. Daughters: Sherry Davis, Kathy Jo Fuller, Linda Huff. Sons: Gary Simpson, Brian Fuller. Sons-in-law: Glen Davis, David Daugherty. Grandchild: Joey Fuller. Great Granddaughter: Gianna Daugherty. Sister: Donna Bee. Brothers: Leland Smith, Theodore Smith, Robert Smith, Larry Smith. Sister-in-law: Carol Smith. Brothers-in-law: John Bee, Fred Canzonetta, Gus Polychronis.

Left to cherish her memory is daughter Judith Daugherty. Sons Jim, who was born on her birthday, (Denita) Fuller, Mark (Sandy) Fuller. Son-in-law Earl Huff. Sisters Phyllis Polychronis, Charlene Canzonetta. Sisters-in-law Linda Smith, Donna Smith, Shirley Smith. Along with over 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as she was so blessed! She and her granddaughter, Heather shared a very special bond filled with love, laughter and countless memories. Although she will be deeply missed, her unwavering love and devotion will remain with us forever.

Cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest with her husband, Joe, on Tuesday May 11, 2027 at 12:00pm on their wedding anniversary in Braceville Cemetery.
