Glenn Irvin Gaston, age 78 of Newton Twp. passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, March 28, 2015. He was born on July 27, 1936 in Brookville, PA the son of the late William Mervin Gaston and Lillie Ann (Geer) Gaston. Glenn married the love of his life, Minnie M. Price on Aug. 13, 1960 and they enjoyed 51 years of marriage together until she passed away on Oct. 26, 2011. He has lived in Newton Falls for most of his life, and worked at Fiest Hardwoods in Newton Falls for 30 years. Until recently, he also was working for Poly-Tabletop in Lordstown since 2002. Glenn enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Minnie. Loving memories of Glenn will be carried on by his daughters, Kathryn Gaston of Newton Falls, Glenda (Brian) Gerber of Newton Falls, his son, Martin (Marina) Gaston of Hallsville, TX, sisters, Evelyn (George) Kite of Goldsboro, NC., Diana (Jerry) Yard of Clarington, PA, brothers, Dean (Ruth) Gaston of Brookville, PA, Melvin (Carolyn) Gaston of Lordstown, Joe (Hazel) Gaston of Brookville, PA, 7 grandchildren, Sarah Gaston of El Paso, TX, Steven (Amber) Lyden of Fort Campbell, KY, Kayla Lyden of Columbus, Matthew Gerber of Newton Falls, Richard Verbosky of Newton Falls, and Jacob & Isabel Gaston of Hallsville, TX. Per Glenn's wishes, cremation has taken place. Calling hours will be held on Saturday April 4, 2015 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at James Funeral Home where a memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 pm. Chalene Osterman will officiate the service. The family has requested that all donations please be made to the Hope Center for Cancer Care 1745 Niles-Cortland Rd. Warren, OH 44484 in memory of Glenn I. Gaston. After the memorial services the family will be receiving friends for a luncheon at the VFW Post #3332 address 433 Arlington Rd. Newton Falls, OH 44444.
