Obituary

Glenn E. Muckle, age 100 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at St. Joseph Eastland Hospital in Warren, OH. He was born on June 9, 1916 in Parkwood, PA the son of the late Ross Charles Muckle & Mary Maude (Gibson) Muckle. Glenn lived in Indiana, PA where he was a coal miner before moving to Southington 55 years ago. After moving to Southington, he was employed in the maintenance department at Rockwell International for 21 years retiring in 1976. On September 22, 1939 he married the love of his life, Vivian Martha Henneman and they celebrated 68 years of marriage before she passed away on February 20, 2008. Glenn was a member of the Newton Falls First Church of God where he was active with the Golden Agers at the church. He enjoyed flowers, gardening and hunting. Mr. Muckle is survived by his daughter, Dorothy M. Viney of Newton Falls with whom he lived, 3 sisters, Geneva Bain of Indiana, PA, Imogene Moore of AZ , Florence (Jack) Pierce of St. Helens, MI, 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchild. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Vivian, daughters, Charlotte Kiepper and Maxine Sheldon, son, Ross Muckle, brothers, Alton & Arthur Muckle, sisters; Cloe Dezef, Leda McCleary & Nanny Muckle. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Newton Falls First Church of God from 10:00AM to 1:00PM. The funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00PM at the church, Rev. Arnold Edmondson and Pastor Dale Hennemann will be officiating. Glenn will be laid to rest next to his wife, Vivian at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna, OH.
