Gurmond L. Weekley, age 70 of Newton Falls passed into eternal life on Monday, February 7, 2011 in the emergency room at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. On February 20, 1940 in Warren, Boyd Lorance & Mary Lou (Vanda) Weekley gave birth to their son, Gurmond. Gurmond lived in Newton Falls most of his life working at ADS Machinery as a machine designer for 25 years. Gurmond married the love of his life Frances Weekley on Februaury 16, 1965 and she passed away after 43 years of blessed marriage on April 8, 2008. Gurmond was a veteran of the US Army serving during Vietnam. He loved to golf and was a member of the Newton Falls & Cortland American Legion. Memories of Gurmond will be carried on by his family, a step-son, Jeffrey Weekley of Gainesville, FL, sister-in-law, Mary Ellis of Warren and his friend, Debra Riemenschneider of Newton Falls. Gurmond was preceeded in death by his parents and his wife, Frances. Private services will be held.
