Obituary

Helma Jean Dawson, age 98 of Newton Falls, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 6, 2012 in the emergency room at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. On February 3, 1914, in Deep Valley, PA, Harry O. & Ina M. (Warrick) Masters were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Helma. Helma married her first husband, Ross Schench in 1936 and he died in 1960, she then married her second husband, Edward Dawson in 1971 and he died in 1972. Helma has lived in Newton Falls since 1975 formerly of Baltimore, MD. She was a member of the First Church of God in Newton Falls, an honory member of the VFW Color Guard, a life time member of the VFW Auxillary, and an honory life member of the honor guard. She is preceeded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, Helen Salmon, Eshmae Rutan, Velva Miller, Lois Chermansky, and 4 brothers, Darrel, Harry Jr., Neal and Wayne Masters. Memories of Helma will be carried on by her loving family; her daughter, Pat Tryor of Cameron, WV; her sister, Hilda Ileane Masters of Newton Falls, her brother, Duayne Masters of Rock Cave, WV; 5 Grandchildren; 10 Great- Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild and her special friend and caretaker, Gideon Fettierolf. Per Helma's request, there are no calling hours or services. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to James Funeral Home, 8 East Broad Street, Newton Falls, OH (330) 872-5440.
