Henry C. Gross age 87 of Palmyra Twp passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Monday Dec. 29, 2025 at his residence. He was born on Dec. 21, 1938 in Carpentertown, PA the son of the late Lewis Gross and Sarah G. (Hixon) Gross. Henry had lived in Palmyra Twp for over 51 years, formerly of Lake Milton, OH. He worked in the Paint Booth at General Motors Lordstown for 30 years retiring in 1999, and was a member of the UAW Local #1112. Henry married the love of his life, Priscilla J. Pitt on Sept. 9, 1961 and they enjoyed 64 years of marriage together until her death on July 30, 2025. He loved watching football, NASCAR races and mowing his grass & being outdoors. Henry is preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Priscilla, 1 daughter: Carolyn L. Gross, 2 brothers: Robert & Norman Gross and 1 granddaughter: Rachel Lichty.

He is survived by: 2 daughters: Gloria Lichty of Palmyra Twp, Cheryl & Jerry Wiseman of Lake Milton, 5 sisters: Gladys Gross of Mt. Pleasant, PA. Louise & Emerson Beal of Titusville, PA, Phyllis Povlik of Mt. Pleasant, PA, Margaret & James Hood of Mt. Pleasant, PA, Judy Vokes Of Kecksburg, PA, 1 brother: Harry & Elizabeth Gross of Mt. Pleasant, PA, 6 grandchildren: Steven, Michael, Alexandra, Dannielle, Timothy, Rane,and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Friday Jan 2, 2026 at 6:00pm with Pastor Jennifer Dorn officiating. Calling hours will be from 4:00- 6:00pm. Cremation will follow the service. He will be laid to rest beside his wife Priscilla at Palmyra West Cemetery in Diamond, OH. The family has requested that all donations please be made to Crossroads Hospice 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr. Suite E Uniontown, OH 44685 in his memory.
