Irene H. Bowser, age 91 of Newton Falls entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Laurie Ann Nursing Home. Irene was born on November 3, 1919 in Russellton, PA, the daughter of James & Elizabeth (Orf) Wise. She has lived in Newton Falls since 1970, formerly of Tarentum, PA. On September 2, 1936, Irene was joined in marriage with Alvie W. Bowser. They were married 57 wonderful years until his passing on October 13, 1993. Irene was a hairdresser from 1957 until her retirement in 1970. She attended Pricetown Methodist Church and the Eastern Star in Tarentum, PA. Irene enjoyed plants and working around the house. Loving memories of Irene will be carried on by her son, David W. Bowser of Newton Falls. Irene was preceeded in death by her husband, Alvie and three brothers, William, Elmer and James Wise. Eastern Star services will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 6:00 followed by calling hours from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home. Irene will be laid to rest next to her husband in Hawley Cemetery.
