Irene W. Cameron, age 92 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 17, 2012 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Irene was born on March 22, 1920 in Chester WV, the daughter of the late William Osborne Wallace and Audrey Francis (Alexander) Wallace. Irene moved to Newton Falls in 1942 from Belair, WV. Irene married Roy M. Cameron on August 22, 1947 and was married for 33 years before his passing on June 27, 1981. Irene worked in various positions at Colvins Nursing Home for 20 years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Newton Falls, and enjoyed cooking, baking, attending church, working word puzzles, reading her bible, and especially enjoyed her time with the grandchildren. Memories of Irene will be carried on by her Nieces & Nephews, a close friend Mary Ellen Davenport and family. Irene was preceded in death by parents, her husband, Roy and two sisters, Thelma Jones and Mary Wallace and a nephew James Jones. Funeral services will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Tuesday July 24, 2012 at 12:00 pm. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service from 11:00- 12:00 pm. Pastor Travis Cox will be officiating. Irene will be laid to rest next to her husband Roy in Newton Falls Cemetery.
