Irene E. Sickle, age 89 of Palmyra Twp. passed away peacefully intro eternal rest on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Laurie Ann Nursing Home of nautral causes. Irene was born on May 20, 1922, in Newton Twp., OH the daughter of Scott N. Ferguson and Daisey (Rosenbaum) Ferguson. She married the love of her life, Glenn D. Sickle on November 7, 1939 and he passed away after 49 years of marriage on September 6, 1988. Irene has lived in Palmyra Twp. since 1939, formerly of Newton Falls. She has worked as a Production Worker for the Ravenna Arsenal during the WWII. She was a member of the trinity Full Gospel Fellowship Church in Lake Milton, and now is a member of the General Assembly Church of God in Newton Falls. Irene loved gardening and horses. She is preceded in death by her son Dale Sickle , 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Loving memories of Irene will be carried on by her family; her 2 daughters Sherry & Barry Ramsey of Lake Milton, Sandra & Joseph Markham of Ravenna; her sister & her huesband Glenna &Jerry Thomas of Trenton, MI; her 8 grandchildren & 16 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time from 12:00 pm-1:00pm.
