Iris G. Stemple, age 72 of Warren, entered into eternal rest on Thursday February 18, 2010 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Iris was born on June 11, 1937 in Preston County, WV, the daughter of Carl & Delores (Weaver) Shaffer. Iris married James Stemple on August 24, 1957 and he passed away on May 18, 2001 after 45 years of marriage. Iris was the high school secretary for Lordstown School District for 21 years, retiring in 1997. She was a member of the Bailey Road Baptist Church, Lordstown Garden Club and the Lordstown Quilting Guild. Memories of Iris will be carried on by her daughter & son-in-law, Kimberly & Roy Pierson of Newton Falls, son & daughter-in-law, James & Julie Stemple Jr. of Fredericksburg, VA, brothers, Darrell & Ann Shaffer of Terra Alta, WV, Robert Shaffer of Lisbon and grandchidlren,LeighAnna Pierson, Matthew & Kameron Chalker of Braceville, Morgan, James &Tara Stemple of Fredericksburg, VA, and a very special friend, Joel Mounts. Iris was preceeded in death by her parents and husband, James. Calling hours will be held on Sunday February 23, 2010 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday February 23, 2010 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Iris will be laid to rest next to her husband in Lordstown Cemetery.
