Jack D. Balch Sr. age 75 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Monday Dec. 25, 2023 at the Continuing Healthcare at the Ridge in Mineral Ridge, OH.  He was born on Aug. 20, 1948 in North Tonawanda, NY the son of the late Jack D. Balch and Ethel Darlene (Lucy) Balch. Jack had lived in Newton Falls for the past 10 years, formerly of Lake Milton and Windham.  He married the love of his life, Donna Lee Haynes on April16, 1970 and they enjoyed 51 years of marriage together until her death on June 11, 2021.  Jack loved to go hunting, fishing, his dogs, and watching softball and football.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Donna, 1 sister: Patty Monk, and 2 grandsons: Justin Balch & Jason Rosier.

Jack is survived by: 3 sons: Russell Balch of Braceville, Jack & Denise Balch III of Newton Falls, John Balch of Newton Falls, 2 daughters: Jackie Balch & her companion: Harold Rosier of Newton Falls, Tammie & Jim Downey of Irwin, PA,  2 sisters: Cheryl Philabaum of Chiefland, FL, Robin & Joe Crawford of PA, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Friday Dec. 29, 2023 at 1:00pm with Pastor Jennifer Dorn officiating.  Calling hours will be two hours prior to service time from 11:00am - 1:00pm.  Cremation will follow the service.
