Jacklynn E. LaPresta, age 75 of Lordstown passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Monday Jan. 13, 2025 at St. Joseph Eastland Hospital in Warren. She was born on Nov. 15, 1949 in St .Mary's , PA the daughter of the late John Edward Seifert and Ida Mae (Stebich) Seifert.  Jacklynn married the love of her life, Donald J. LaPresta on Sept, 1, 1990, and have enjoyed the past 30 years of marriage together until he passed away on Sept. 26, 2020. She has lived in Lordstown for 44 years formerly of Warren, OH.  Jacklynn worked at General Motors in Lordstown for 30 years retiring in 2006.  Jacklynn loved to go boating on Lake Erie, camping, reading, shopping, and most of all loved her grandkids.  She is a member of the UAW #1112 where she served on the Executive Board, chairman of the women's committee, benefits representative, and a delegate for international conventions.  She also was a commodore of the Harbor Yacht Club. Jacklynn is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Donald.

She is survived by: 1 son: Ross & Fay Shirley of Newton Falls, 1 sister: Carol & George Cotterell of Mt. Laurel, NJ, 1 brother: John & Mary Seifert of Tidioute, PA., 3 step daughters: Christine & Michael Stephens of Niles, OH, Michelle & Joe Booth of Mineral Ridge, OH,  Dawn & Randy Miller of Mineral Ridge, OH, a daughter /special niece: Ginger & Tony Burns of Sun City Center, FL, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Friday Jan 17, 2025 at 11:00am with Pastor Jennifer Dorn officiating.  Calling hours will be on Thursday Jan. 16, 2025 from 4:00- 7:00pm at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service. Jacklynn will be laid to rest beside her husband Donald at Lutheran Cemetery in Newton Falls.
