James Edward Spell, age 79, of Newton Falls, passed away peacefully into eternal life on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 16, 1935, in Lake Milton, Ohio the son of the late Adam & Mary (Earl) Spell. James married the love of his life, Judith E. Anness on November 9, 1983 and they enjoyed 27 years of marriage together before she passed away on July 28, 2010. James had lived in the Newton Falls, Warren area most of his life. He worked as a laborer at Rockwell Intentional & Warren Fabricating for many years. He was a member of the US Army serving during the Korean War. Memories of James will be carried on by his family; his daughter Kimberly & Mark Merziel of Champion, Tammy Spell of Warren, Nancy & Charles Polacek of Eagle River, WI, Kathy & Harold Adams of Berea, KY; his step-sons Michael & Cindy Foy of Warren, Scott & Norma Foy of Newton Falls; his sister Irene Zampino of Newton Falls; and 8 grandchildren. James is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Judith, 2 sisters: Lena Paton, Mary Lewis, and 4 brothers: William, Adam (Buddy), Donald & Henry Spell Sr., Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Friday, December 26, 2014 7:00PM with calling hours one hour prior to service time from 6:00 to 7:00PM.
