Janet Estella Van Steenberg, age 74, of Paris Twp, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, August 9, 2013 surrounded by her children. She was born on January 25, 1939 in Paris Twp. the daughter of the late Richard Clare Jones and Nettie (Smith) Jones. Janet has lived her entire life in Paris Twp, and she was a homemaker. She loved reading, spending time with family, and her cat (Spunky). Janet is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons: William & Gary VanSteenberg, 2 sisters: Thelma Jones, Marie Pence, and 1 brother William Jones. Memories of Janet will be carried on by her loving family: 1 Daughter: Shirley & Bill Turney of Cortland, OH, 2 sons: Rick VanSteenberg of Deerfield, OH, Daren VanSteenberg of Paris Twp, 1 sister: Karen Mitzel of Fowler Twp, OH, granddaughters: Tia & Bill Buzzard of Sharon Twp, OH, Aimee & Scott Burrier of Perry Twp, OH, Terrie & Joe Lynn of Howland, OH, Melissa Price of Winder, GA, grandsons: Cody Reese of Austintown, OH, Tyson Reese of Alliance, OH, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held. Janet will be laid to rest at Hawley Cemetery in Paris Twp.
