Jeffery Lynn Lock, Sr., age 78, of Paris Twp, Portage County, OH, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at UH Portage Medical Center. He had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2022.

Born February 24, 1947 in Akron, OH, he is the son of the late Henry Paul & Margery M. (Galloway) Lock

Following graduation from Southeast High School class of 1965, he worked at the Ravenna Arsenal. He enlisted in the U. S. Army and served from 1966 to 1969 with a tour of duty in Vietnam. Following his army discharge, he returned to work at the Ravenna Arsenal where he met his sweetheart, Bonita S. Woolard. They eloped to Winchester, Virginia and would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary December 31. They made their home in Paris Twp. He was employed at General Motors Lordstown in the skilled trades for 35 years before retiring in 2009. Jeff was a member of the Newton Falls Masonic Lodge #462.

Memories of Jeff will be carried on by his loving family; including his wife Bonita, daughter Sarah Lock & husband Tom Best of Paris Twp.; son Jeffery Jr. & wife, Kelli of Paris Twp, Grandson Joshua Lock & wife Sydney of Stow, Grandson Jacob Lock & wife Alexis of Cuyahoga Falls. Missing him at home are his fur babies Bella and Zoey.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, sister Susan Lock and brother David Lock.

Private Family Services have been held with Rev. James Thomas Holbrook officiating. Jeff was laid to rest in Hawley Cemetery in Paris Twp.
