Jennifer Kay Townsend, age 48, of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, March 6, 2025, ay University Hospital Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, OH. She was born on January 20, 1977 in Fairmont, West Virginia the daughter of Jackie & Linda (Dean) Gorbey.

Jennifer met the love of her life Richard in 1997 while in college at WVU.  Jennifer and Richard were married on May 27, 2000 and were blessed with 25 years of marriage together.

Jennifer and Richard lived on her slice of heaven in Newton Falls for 7 years formerly of Toledo. She had a passion for all animals. In particular she loved rescuing and re-homing stray cats and kittens. She also was accomplished in decorating and baking, as well as landscaping and design work. She and her husband also traveled frequently to many state parks for photography, camping, and serenity. Jennifer loved the beauty of nature.

Memories of Jennifer will be carried on by her loving family; her husband Richard of Newton Falls; her father Jackie of Daybrook WV; her brother Jerremy C. Gorbey; and her Grandmother Cathy of Star City, WV.

Jennifer is preceded in death by her mother Linda Gorbey, and her grandfather Charles Gorbey.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 12 to 1PM, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 1PM.
