Jerre Lee Harper, Sr. age 62, of Leavittsburg passed away peacefully into eternal life on Tuesday December 11, 2012 at Wake-Med Hospital in Raleigh, NC while he was on vacation visiting his family. He was born on October 9, 1950 in Warren, Ohio, the son of Jessie Wilbur Harper & Mary Alice (Minor) Harper. Jerre married the love of his life, Latricia Gould on August 14, 1971 and they have enjoyed 41 years of marriage together. Jerre had lived in Leavittsburg and Braceville area all his life. He worked as a custodian for LaBrae Schools for many years before retiring in 2005. He also owned and operator Sign Craft in Leavittsburg. He was a member of car clubs and enjoyed old hot rods and watching races. Memories of Jerre will be carried on by his loving family: his wife Latricia Harper of Leavittsburg; his daughter & son-in-law Christine & Marc Shaffer of Blythewood, SC; his son & daughter-in-law Jerre & Heather Harper Jr. of Youngsville, NC, his son Craig Harper of Leavittsburg; his sister & brother-in-law Pam & James Clifford of Clearwater,FL; and his 4 grandchildren: Jesse & Ryan Shaffer, Olivia & Shelby Harper. Calling hours will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 5 to 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:00AM with calling hours one hour prior from 10 to 11AM. Pastor Mitch Meadors will be officiating. Jerre will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery in West Farmington.
