Jerry Lynn Dieter, age 65 of Braceville passed away peacefully on Sunday March 30, 2014 at the Laurie Ann Nursing Home in Newton Falls. He was born on Feb. 6, 1949 in Warren, OH the son of Ralph Jacob Dieter and Isabella L. (Dawson) Dieter. Jerry graduated from Braceville High School in 1967 and then attended Kent State University for 3 years. He was then drafted into the US Air Force. After his return, Jerry worked at Packard Electric (Delphi) for 30 years. Jerry was a member of the Mahoning Valley Civil War Round Table. He loved cooking and photography, Jerry was a member of the Braceville Christian Church. Jerry taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and was a trustee at the church. Jerry helped maintain the grounds around the church, paying special attention to the flower beds. Jerry also was part of the construction to the new addition to the church.

Loving memories of Jerry will be carried on by his mother, Isabella L. Dieter of Braceville, his sister & brother-in-law, Donna & James Fait of Pagosa Springs, CO, his brothers and sisters-in-law, Randal & Patricia Dieter of Braceville, Alan & Phyllis Dieter of Warsaw, OH, and his step-brother: M. Ralph & Alberta Dieter of Bedford, NH. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Ralph J. Dieter.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Braceville Christian Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 pm. Rev. Jon Pratt will officiate. Jerry will be laid to rest beside his father Ralph at Braceville Cemetery. The family has requested that all donations please be made to the Braceville Christian Church 4387 Church St. SW, Newton Falls, OH 44444 in memory of Jerry.
