Joann D. Hodder, age 92, of Braceville passed away into eternal life on March 30, 2017 at Blossom Hills Care Center of natural causes. On December 13, 1924, in Troy Twp., Ohio, Clayton & May (Scott) Dones were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Joann. Joann married the love of her life, Kenneth J. Hodder on July 19, 1973 and they enjoyed 32 years of marriage together before he passed away on March 12, 2005. Joann had lived in Braceville since 1978 formerly of Chardon. She worked as a secretary and was a homemaker. Joann was a member of the Braceville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed square dancing, camping, golfing, and working in her yard with the chain saw. Memories of Joann will be carried on by her loving family; her 5 daughters Joyce Armstrong of Trumbull Twp., Joyce & Brian Burk of Madison, Sandy & Rev. Gary Glasscock of Chardon, Nancy & Charles King of Matthews,NC, Carol & Jeff Gardner of Clarion Twp; her 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Joann is preceeded in death by her parents, and her brothers Bill & George Dones. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Braceville Cemetery at 11:00AM. Rev.
