John D. Allman Sr. age 73 of Warren passed away into eternal life on Monday, March 18, 2013 at St. Joseph's Eastland Hospital of natural causes. He was born on February 2, 1940, in Warren, OH the son of the late Donald Clayton & Marion Louise (Alden) Allman. John had lived in the Warren area most of his life, working as a maintenance worker for General Motors for 33 years before retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Grace Cathedral in Akron. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, hunting and golfing. Memories of John will be carried on by his loving family; his companion Donna M. Elko of Warren; his daughters Anita Acord of Leavittsburg, Mardale Finchan of Warren, Crystal Elko of Warren, Brenda Lee Shionsky of Vermont; his son & his wife John & LeeAnn Allman of Huntington,WV, his son Robert Harvey Elko of Warren; his sisters Alberta Langdon of CA, Dorothy Roos of Warren; his brother & his wife Tom & Sue Allman of Newton Falls; his 10 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren. John is preceded in death by his his parents, his sister Joan Thomas & his brothers Fred Allman & Donald C. Allman Jr. Calling hours will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 1:00PM at the funeral home. John will be laid to rest at Pine Knoll Cemetery in Warren Twp.
