It is with heavy hearts we announce the untimely death of Jonathan F. Rook age 44 of Lordstown. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday July 20, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown due to a long extended illness.  Jon was born on Nov. 16, 1980 in Alliance, OH the son of Harry Herbert Rook Jr. and Patty Ann (Pauley) Rook. He had lived in Lordstown for the last 26 years, formerly of Newton Falls where he graduated from Newton Falls High School in the Class of 1999.  Jon was a long- time member of the Lake Milton Fish & Game Club and loved hunting, fishing, shooting his air rifle, playing his guitar, and listening to music especially Guns & Roses. He is preceded in death by only his father: Harry H. Rook Jr.

Jon will be deeply missed by: his mother: Patty A. Rook of Lordstown, 1 sister: Kimberly & James Jeffries of Canton, OH, 1 brother: Harry (Pete) Rook III of Warren.

Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Monday July 28, 2025 at 1:00pm with Rev. Glenn Fear officiating. Calling hours for Jon will be on Sunday July 27, 2025 from 4:00- 7:00pm at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the funeral service.  Please make any donations directly to his family to cover his medical & funeral expenses. Thank you!
