Obituary

Judy M. Wytko age 71 of Milton Twp passed away peacefully from Alzheimer's Disease on Thursday morning April 24, 2025 at her residence.  She was born on Nov. 21, 1953 in Youngstown, OH the daughter of the late John Michael Nyers and Julia Marie (Gulas) Nyers.  She married the love of her life, Paul Stephen Wytko on July 16, 1977 and they enjoyed 48 years of marriage together. Judy graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in the Class of 1971, and continued her education at Youngstown State University becoming the first female graduate of the Industrial Engineer Program.  After working for Republic Steel as an Industrial Engineer she decided to remain at home and be a wonderful mom and later a fantastic grandmother.  Over the years, she taught CCD classes at both Saint Stevens of Hungary and Saint James Catholic churches. She was also President of the PTA for Jackson Milton Elementary School. Judy loved to travel, going all over the United States including Alaska and Hawaii and also Europe.  She loved bicycling once riding from Pittsburgh to Washington DC with her husband. She also loved flowers, gardening, swimming, playing cards and being a grandmother to her grandchildren. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother: Ken Nyers.

She is survived by: her husband: Paul S. Wytko of Milton Twp,  2 sons: Daniel (Rachel) Wytko of Columbia, MD, Adam (Terri) Wytko of Columbia, MD, 7 grandchildren: Lance, Lillian, Brooks, Grant, Lincoln, Simon, Lucinda, and 3 brothers: John (Jane) Nyers of Medina, OH, Mike (Marcia) Nyers of Newark, OH, and Robert Nyers of Brunswick, GA.

Calling hours will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Monday April 28, 2025 from 5:00- 7:00pm.  Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Tuesday April 29, 2025 at 11:00am with Father Joseph Rudjak officiating.   She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown, OH. The family has requested that all donations please be made to Mercy Health Hospice of the Valley by Compassus 979 Tibbetts-Wick Rd. Suite A Girard, OH 44420 in her memory.  The family would like to thank Sis Albers, and Latonda Stanford for the loving care they provided Judy in the last years and months of her life.
