Julia Lynn Pratt, age 68 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Vista Care at the Ridge after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born on July 10, 1947 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Sallih & Rose (Prologo) Alli. Julia had lived in Newton Falls for the past 8 years, formerly of Youngstown. She worked at the Youngstown Air Base in Vienna as an Assistant Manager, bartender & waitress at the NCO Club for 17 years. She also worked at Wetzel Manufacturing in Warren for 4 years, where she was chairman of the union. Julia retired in 2002. Julia loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. Memories of Julia will be carried on by her loving family; her son, Mark (Sherry) Pratt of North Jackson, daughters, Lisa Butler of Cortland, Sonja (Robert) Woods of Newton Falls, Tammy (John Sandquist Jr.) Hurst of Austintown, Heidi (Rodney) Stevens of Lordstown, 23 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Jeamila Guiterrez, Mary Lilly, Virginia Mazzella, brother Albert Alli and a grandson, Dustin Allen Pratt. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm at James Funeral Home where funeral services will immediately follow at 6:00 pm. Per Julia's wishes, cremation will follow.
