June W. Stroup age 98 of Braceville passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday Aug. 8, 2024 at the Gillette Nursing Home in Warren.  She was born on March 6, 1926 in Warren, OH the daughter of the late Addison Vincent Wolfe and Cora Jane (Beachler) Wolfe.  June has lived in Braceville for over 55 years, formerly of Newton Falls where she graduated from Newton Falls High School in the Class of 1944. She married the love of her life, Lloyd L. Stroup on Feb. 17, 1951 and they have enjoyed 56 years of marriage together until his death on Dec. 21, 2007.  June was the oldest member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Warren. She loved knitting, reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, canning, cooking, and flowers.  June was a former 4-H Leader, Cub Scout leader and member of the Knit-Knax Knitting Club in Braceville.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd, 2 sons: Keith Stroup, Kenton Stroup, 1 granddaughter: Erika Bates, 3 sisters: Helen Kopp, Lucille Luizzo, Jayne Owens, 1 son in law: Charles Daubenspeck, and 1 daughter in law: Denise Stroup.

June is survived by: 1 daughter: Karen E. Daubenspeck of Braceville, 1 daughter in law: Marilyn Stroup of Cortland, 10 grandchildren: Ryan, Kevin, Krista, Kelly, Brandon, Cindi, Christy, Misty, Katina, Stephanie, 1 step granddaughter: Cynthia, 20 great grandchildren, 1 step great granddaughter: Nicole, 2 great great grandchildren, 2 step great great granddaughters: Priyasha, Divyana, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Monday Aug 12, 2024 at 12:00pm with Pastor Eugene Koene officiating.  Calling hours will be from 11:00am - 12:00pm.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband Lloyd at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren. The family has requested that all donations please be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church 140 Cherry Ave. NW Warren, OH 44485 in her memory.
