Kay R. Drake, age 76 of Newton Falls passed into eternal life on Tueday, June 8, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital of complications from surgery. Kay was born on April 20, 1934 in Warren, OH the daughter of the late James T & Martha Richards. She married the love of her life, Edward Francis Drake on October 20, 1956 and they enjoyed 53 years of marriage together. Kay had lived in Newton Falls since 1956 working as a secretary for Trumbull County Career Center for 32 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Newton Falls and the Leading Star Chapter #79 OES. Memories of Kay will be carried on by her loving family; her husband Edward Drake of Newton Falls; her daughter & son-in-law Elaine & Richard May of Mentor; her son & daughter-in-law Ronald & Pamela Drake of Mentor- on- the- lake; her brother & sister-in-law James & Clara Richards of Howland; two grandsons Aaron & Adam May; one grandaughter Jessica Drake and one great-grandson Bryson Drake. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to service time at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Friday June 11, 2010 from 5:30 to 6:30PM. An Eastern Star Service will be held at 6:30 followed directly by the Funeral Service. Rev. Dr. Eric Bing will be officiating. Cremation will follow.
