Kenneth Lee McFarland Sr. age 67, of Newton Falls, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital of natural causes. On September 17, 1947, in Youngstown, Ohio, Edwin Harold & Marjorie (Mease) McFarland were blessed with the birth of their son, Kenneth. Kenneth married the love of his life, Alice (Lesley) Lawrence on September 28, 1968 and they enjoyed 46 years of marriage together. Kenneth had lived in Newton Falls since 1975 formerly of Leavittsburg. He worked as a mechanic at Ken's Auto Service. Kenneth was a member of Amvets and the VFW in Newton Falls. He enjoyed playing darts, pool, horseshoes, golf, bowling, working on cars and fishing. Kenneth especially loved being around people. Memories of Kenneth will be carried on by his loving family; his wife Lesley of Newton Falls; his daughter Heather & Michael Miller of Cortland; his sons Kenneth McFarland Jr. of Niles, Christopher & Amy McFarland of Newton Falls; his sister Shirley & James Jenkins of Warren; his brothers Edwin & Sandy McFarland of Champion, Raymond & Rose McFarland of Newton Falls; his grandchildren Amber Evans, Tiffany Massey, Athena & Michael Miller, Ericka & McKenzie McFarland, Kaylie, Savannah, Kristianna McFarland; and 1 great grandchild Kendal Massey. Kenneth is preceeded in death by his parents, and 1 brother Robert McFarland. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 2 to 4PM, where funeral services will immediately follow at 4PM. Rev. Brian Westover will be officiating.
