Lawrence A. "Larry" Fogle, age 68 of Newton Falls entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 5, 2015 at his residence. Larry was born in Ravenna on February 12, 1947, the son of the late Austin and Helen (Dremack) Fogle. Larry was a 1965 graduate of Windham High School. Larry was a proud Vietnam War veteran. He was honored with his service in the US Army with a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for bravery. He belonged to the Newton Falls Amvets where he was a past Commander, Newton Falls VFW, American Legion Post #674 in Windham and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2705 in Garresttsville. Larry retired in 2005 after 30 years as an inspector at General Motors in Lordstown. Larry was a true "Chevy" man. Although, there wasn't an American made car that he didn't like. Since his retirement, he worked at Jay Coles in Newton Falls. Larry enjoyed restoring cars, attending car shows, and playing bocce. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Browns fan where he was a member of the Browns Backers in Newton Falls. He will be so sadly missed by his sister, Judy Johnson Russell of Garrettsville, nephew, Jeffery D. Johnson (Cindy) and his many friends, his special friends, Sharon Haynie and Danny Mattozzi (Debbie) who will always be dear to his family for being there and for loving him, as he did them. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Thomas W. Russell. Cremation has taken place. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 12:00 - 2:00 pm at James Funeral Home where a memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm. Per Larry's wish, no flowers are requested, please give a donation to a veterans organization in his memory.
