Lenora Mae Whittaker, age 70 of Diamond, OH passed away peacefully into eternal life on Saturday September 14, 2013 at 2:40 pm after a long illness. She was born on March 5, 1943, in Dennison, OH the daughter of the late George Warren Henary & Hazel Irene (Sproul) Henary. Lenora married, David Allen Whittaker, on March 25, 1987 and they were blessed with 26 years of marriage together. She worked as an Autoworker at General Motors in Lordstown for 29 years before retiring in 2007. Lenora was a member of the Mormon Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed going RVing, camping, and attending family get togethers. Memories of Lenora will be carried on by her loving family; her husband David Whittaker of Diamond, her daughters & their husbands Hazel & Larry Marez of Denver, CO, April & Bob Strickland of Austintown, Fonda Barkofske of Denver, CO; her son & his wife Raymond & Laurie Cote of Austintown; her sisters & their husbands Darlene & James Naylor of Newton Falls, Irene & John Crowder of Newton Falls; 8 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren. Lenora is preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister: Betty Corbett. Calling hours will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Wednesday Sept. 18, 2013 from 6:00 -8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Thursday Sept. 19, 2013 at 10:00am with Bishop Steve Williams officiating the service. Lenora will be laid to rest at Newton Falls Cemetery.
