Obituary

Leonore "Lee" Mae (Gossman) Inbody age 99 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Laurie Ann Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was born on May 25, 1917 in Jenera, OH the seventh of ten children born to Benjamin and Mary (Bormuth) Gossman. Mrs. Inbody graduated from Rawson High School in Rawson, OH in 1936, and came to Newton Falls in 1937. On Jan. 18, 1938 she married her high school sweetheart Donald Burnett Inbody, who passed away after 53 years of marriage on Oct. 29, 1991. Mrs. Inbody was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Newton Falls, and formerly Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Warren, and St, Paul's Lutheran Church of Jenera. She was a member of Mary Circle, ELCA, and sang in the church choir for over 70 years. She taught Sunday School and did alot of volunteer work in the church. She was Social Ministery Chair person,and a lifetime member of Evening Arts Guild where she held various offices. Mrs. Inbody was also involved in many of her children's school activities when they were younger. She once received a "certificate of recommendation" from President Harry S. Truman for selling so many War Bonds house to house, and she also received a certificate of appreciation from the Red Cross for monetary donations over many years. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for over 20 years. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan, loved traveling extensively, enjoyed reading, riding Harley Motorcycles, listening to music, writing, and playing cards. Most of all she loved being with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald, 4 sisters, 5 brothers, and a great-grandaughter. Mrs. Inbody was the mother of four children; 3 daughters: Barbara Allen of Newton Falls, Nancy Krivak of FL, Kathleen Bednarcik of Newton Falls; 1 son: James Inbody of Bristolville; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great grandaughters, 3 great-great grandsons. The family requests that all donations may be made to either Forum Health at Home Hospice, Newton Falls Public Library Building Fund, or the Messiah Lutheran Church in Newton Falls, or to ones own personal charity in Leonore's name. Funeral Services will be at the Newton Falls Messiah Lutheran Church on Thursday March 9, 2017 at 12:00pm. The family will receive friends for calling hours one hour prior to service time at the church from 11:00am- 12:00pm. Lee will be laid to rest next to her husband Donald at the Lutheran Cemetery in Newton Falls.
