Leslie J. Davis, age 66, of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal life on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Country Club Rehabilitation Campus at Newton Falls of natural causes.

On October 7, 1951, in Youngstown, OH, Edwin S. & Shirley (Marshall) Davis were blessed with the birth of their son, Leslie.

Leslie married the love of his life, Joyce A. Lay, on January 10, 1976 and they enjoyed 29 years of marriage together before she passed away on April 9, 2005.

Les worked as a union carpenter until retirement. He was a member and former commander of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 737, in Lake Milton, Ohio. He loved his family and spending time fishing, golfing, and watching westerns. Though quiet in word, he had a kind heart and a love for all animals.

Allyson & Dustin Montgomery of Lorton, VA, Darcy & James Roessler of Clayton, NC, and Jody & Thomas Brooks, of Atlanta, GA; his brother Wayne Davis of Beloit, OH, and 4 grandchildren, Madison Callihan and Peyton Roessler, of Clayton, NC., Dylan Roessler, of Newton Falls, and Will Brooks, of Atlanta, GA.

Leslie is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Calling hours will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 6 to 8pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 10:00am at the funeral home. Leslie will be laid to rest at Newton Falls Cemetery next to his wife.
