Lila J. Grafton, age 69 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal life on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on June 20, 1943 in Warren, the daughter of the late Norman & Mildred (Glancey) Jessep. Lila married the love of her life, William Grafton on April 9, 1965 and they enjoyed 28 years of marriage together before he passed away on March 23, 1994. She had lived in Newton Falls since 1974 and loved being a housewife. Memories of Lila will be carried on by her loving family; her daughter Terri Litz of Newton Falls; her son William D. Grafton of Paris Twp.; her 2 sisters Charlotte Jessep of Southington, Sheleane Sackett of Niles; 2 brothers, Charles Jessep of Warren, Gary Jessep of Warren, and 2 Grandchildren. Lila was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, sister Louella Sackett, brother Wallace Jessep and her grandson, Justin P. Litz. Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7:00 pm, with Pastor Mitch Meadors officiating. Cremation will follow. She will be laid to rest beside her husband William at Braceville Cemetery.
