Linda J. (Christopher) Lawrence, age 79 entered into eternal rest with our Lord on Friday Aug. 18, 2017 at Consulate Health Care of Orange Park in Orange Park, FL after a long battle from a Brain Aneurism and strokes suffered in 1996. She was born on Dec. 9, 1937 in Kent, OH the daughter of the late Arthur Joseph Christopher and Theresa R. (Puck) Christopher. Linda married the late Robert L. Lawrence on May 23, 1953, and they were married 54 years before his death on Dec. 15, 2007. Linda was a former resident of Newton Falls, OH and of Baytown, TX. From 1981-1984 she organized & founded 2 bowling leagues, 1979-1981 she corresponding secretary for the Western Reserve Chapter in Warren, OH, she did volunteer work & organized the Chaparral Village Garden Club in 1978, President of the Welcome Wagon Club of Baytown, TX, 1966-1977 she was an Executive Secretary to the Vice President and General Manager to Frank Lister at Standard Transformer Company, Ohio Division of American Gage & Machine Company Subsidiary of Katy Industries, Inc. 1964-1966 Medical Assistant to Dr. Frank J. Sullivan, Warren, OH, 1963 in Public Relations of A&P Tea Company Warren, OH, and introduced the Plaid Stamps to the public. She was an avid sports fan, loved knitting, painting, playing bingo, and doing Aerobics. She also was a mall walker in Baytown, TX, and she loved all her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by: her husband Bob "Yank" Lawrence, 1 daughter: Robin L. Lawrence, 1 brother: Lawrence Walter Christopher, 1 sister: Barbara Ellen Christopher Liberkowski, father in law: Ralph L. Lawrence, mother in law: Dorothy M. McClain Lawrence, 2 brother in laws: Ronald Lawrence and Roy Colbrunn. She is survived by: her 3 sons: Larry R. (Ann) Lawrence of Baytown, TX, Terry L. (Anna) Lawrence of Middleburg, FL, Robert L. Lawrence of LA, 1 brother: Ronald Christopher of FL, brother in law: Donald (Debbie) Lawrence of Newton Falls, OH, sister in Laws: Beverly Colbrunn of Brookfield, OH, & Elaine Lawrence of Ravenna, OH, 6 grandchildren: Terry L. (Audra) Lawrence Jr. (TJ) of Eustis, FL, Jessica L. (Bobby) Martin of Mac Clenny, FL, Patrick R. Lawrence of Baytown, TX, Daniel L. Lawrence of Baytown, TX, Katelyn J. Lawrence of Baytown, TX, Brandon R. Lawrence of Baytown, TX, 2 great grandchildren: Draven L. Lawrence of Orlando, FL, Kierra J. Martin of Mac Clenny, FL. Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Thursday Aug 24, 2017 at 11:00am. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Wednesday Aug. 23, 2017 from 6:00- 8:00 pm.
