Linda Sue Lawrence

Linda Sue Lawrence age 77 of Newton Falls, formerly of Braceville, entered into eternal rest on Monday July 27, 2026 at St. Joseph Hospital surrounded by her family. Linda was born on October 10,1948 in Warren, OH. The Daughter of the late E.D. & Velma (Shaver) Dennison. Linda married her high school sweetheart Daniel Lawrence on February 29, 1968. Linda and Daniel were blessed with 58 wonderful years of marriage and more than 62 years together before Linda’s passing. Linda was employed as a High Lift Driver for Packard Electric retiring after 30 years in 1999. In her youth she would sew dresses made out of fancy flour bags for herself. Linda had a passion for baking Christmas Cookies. It was always a special time for family helping bake and decorate over 5000 specialty cookies, 20 plus varieties, every Christmas to give away and spread joy. Linda also loved feeding and talking to her humming birds, often yelling at other birds and the bees from her kitchen window to make them leave. You would hear her say “get out of here bad birds, there you go baby” to her humming birds. She made sure to celebrate every family birthday by making them the “right” flavor birthday cake personally decorated with their favorite colors. She enjoyed taking care of her beautiful roses and making vases with the variety of color roses to enjoy in her home. She also had fun collecting dolls, posing them all over her home where you would often find her talking to them. She loved and collected tiny things, the smaller the better, and we would her say “oh it’s so teeny tiny”. One of her greatest joys was her hugs from her grandkids, one was never enough - heck 12 or more in a row was more her speed. She would say “maybe one more” a few times before letting go.

Linda is survived by her husband Daniel Lawrence of Newton Falls. Daughter Tina (Monti) Griffiths of Newton Falls, Daughter Dr.Tracie (Michael) Capozzio of Chardon, Son Daniel Lawrence of Newton Falls. Grandsons Ethan (girlfriend Taylor DeGreen) Griffiths, Dr. Spencer (Sarah) Griffiths, Cory (fiancée Sarah Burzanko) Capozzio. She is proceeded in death by her Sisters Patricia Bayus, Donna Stone and Naomi Smith, and her Brothers Charles, Bill, Jerry, Dale and Eugene Dennison.

The family will receive friends on Thursday July 30, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls where funeral services will be held Friday July 31, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
