Obituary

Lois Jane Kihn, age 90 of Leavittsburg, OH passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Friday Nov. 16, 2018 at Lake Vista of Cortland Assisted Living in Cortland, OH. She was born on June 14, 1928 in Warren, OH the daughter of the late Dallas E. Culp and Mabel Marie (McClain) Culp. Lois married the love of her life, Richard E. Kihn on Dec. 24, 1946 and they enjoyed 70 years of marriage together until he passed away on April 8, 2017. They have lived in Leavittsburg from 1946-1981, then moved to Okeechobee, FL from 1981-2015, and they moved back to Leavittsburg in 2015. Lois was a prayer warrior to many churches: the Evangelical Congregational Church of Leavittsburg, the Oakview Baptist Church in Okeechobee, FL, Leavittsburg Church of God, and the Warren Revival Center in Leavittsburg. She is also a member of the Blue Star Mother's Chapter #36. Lois loved playing cards, card making, crocheting, crafts, flowers, word search puzzles, and eating Glazed Donuts. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard, 1 son: Richard Dallas Kihn, 2 grandsons: Brian Shelton, Richard Kihn III, 2 granddaughters: Danielle Moses, Rebecca Nogle, and 1 great grandson: Dustin West.

Lois is survived by: 2 daughters: Carolyn Currier of Newton Falls, Marilyn & William Nogle of Leavittsburg, 2 sons: Richard & Kim Kihn II of Champion, OH, Hans & Jennifer Kihn of Okeechobee, FL, 3 brothers: Charles & Patricia Culp of Cortland, OH, David & Mary Lou Culp of Champion, OH, Dennis & Lou Ann Culp of Warren, OH, 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday Nov. 20, 2018 from 5:00 -8:00 pm at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Nov. 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Warren Revival Center 4400 West Market St. Leavittsburg, OH 44430 with Pastor James Holbrook officiating. Lois will be laid to rest beside her husband Richard at Hawley Cemetery in Paris Twp, OH.
