Obituary

Lois Avenell Solinger, age 75 of Warren, passed away peacefully on Monday May 7, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born on June 29, 1936 in Sigel, PA the daughter of the late Raymond George and Ruth Hulda (Jackson) Mushrush. After graduating from Warren G. Harding in January 1952, Lois married Charles H. Solinger on April 30, 1955 and he passed away after 53 years of marriage on Aug. 13, 2008. She has lived in Warren from 1955-1984, and in Mecca, from 1984-2011. She then moved back to Warren in 2011 after suffering from an illness to live with her son Larry. She was a homemaker and a member of the Beacon of Hope Baptist Church in Warren and the OES Eastern Star Lodge #79 in Newton Falls. Lois loved playing the organ at her church, doing puzzles of all kinds, gardening, and going to garage sales. Lois is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, a sister, Luetta J. Hanawalt, 2 brothers, Donald Mushrush & Larry Burton Mushrush and a great granddaughter, Adrhianna K. Solinger. Memories of Lois will be carried on by her family: a daughter, Valerie Jean Solinger-Richards and her husband David of Champion, 2 sons, Gary D. Solinger of Warren and Larry T. Solinger and his fiance, Judy Rudesill of Warren, 11 grandchildren, 20 great- grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Cremation has taken place. There will be an Eastern Star service at 9:30 am, Saturday May 12, 2012 at James Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am with calling hours one hour prior from 10:00 am until the time of service. Rev. Steve Spurlock and Pastor Garry Hennessey will officiate.
