Margaret Elizabeth Chadman 82, of Newton Falls, gained her wings September 26, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Kittanning, PA on January 26, 1943, the daughter of the late Joe and Florance (Hartzell) Crissman. She graduated from Knox Keystone High School in Knox, PA, where she excelled in sports having received an award for Athlete of the Year.

She worked many jobs throughout her life including being a switch board operator, Fashion Bug, Kmart, and the Dollar General.

She married the love of her life, Stanley Chadman on September 2, 1961. Together they shared 64 years of marriage. They enjoyed square dancing (Pars & Squares), camping and Friday night dinners with friends. Maggie enjoyed sewing, garage sailing, lunch with friends and was always looking for something for everyone. She never meant a stranger Her greatest joy was being a grandmother and great grandmother. She was always at their games and performances cheering them on.

She is survived by her loving husband Stanley Chadman. She was a loving mother to her sons, Steve (Brenda) Chadman of Windham and Bryan (Carol) Chadman of Cortland. A proud grandma to Corey Chadman, Raquel (Justin) Hathaway, Lacey (Kenneth) Chadman, Kayla (Cesar) Ventura and Amber (David) McMinn. A proud great grandma to Caleb, Sydney, Dylan, Deegan, Cesar, Alexander, Braiden and Cambri. She is also survived by her sister, Patty Cochran and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Florance Crissman, siblings; Laura Kahle, Mary Shettler, Jenny Dittman and Ed Crissman.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 12 pm at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls. The family will receive friends from 10am until the time of the service. Pastor Steve Garces will officiate. Cremation will then follow and her ashes will be laid to rest at Newton Falls Cemetery at a later date.
