Margaret D. Arbogast age 100 of Southington passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday June 30, 2024.  She was born on Feb. 3, 1924 in McKinley Heights, OH the daughter of the late William Henry Davies and Helen (Kuilder) Davies. Margaret was a stay at home mom until her children were grown and then she worked at Geauga Industries and Packard Electric where she retired in 1979.  She was a faithful member of the Southington United Methodist Church for over 70 years and was active in the Ladies Day Circle.  Margaret married the love of her life, James E. Arbogast on June 28, 1941 and they enjoyed 53 years of marriage together  until his death on March 24, 1995. They loved to travel and visited all 50 states.  She loved hiking, birding watching, and raising flowers. In the later years, she still enjoyed taking long rides in the car to sight see.  Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Arbogast, 2 brothers: David Davies, Robert Davies, 2 sisters: Ethel Davies Plott, Gertrude Davies Arbogast, 1 son in law: Cecil Clay Cadle, and grandsons in law: Harry Grocott and Geoff Lonsdale.

She will be lovingly missed by her family: 1 son: David (Jane Mundell) Arbogast of Warren, 1 daughter: Patricia (Jack Elston) Cadle of Southington, 4 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren, 10 great- great grandchildren, and 1 great- great- great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Tuesday July 9, 2024 at 11:00am with Pastor John Bramley officiating the service.  Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Monday  July 8, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00pm and also Tuesday from 10:00- 11:00am.   She will be laid to rest beside her husband James at Graham Cemetery in Southington. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that all donations please be made to either: Southington United Methodist Church 4348 Smith Nelson Rd. Southington, OH 44470 or the Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market St. Youngstown, OH 44512 in her memory.
