Obituary

Marilyn Louise Partin, age 79 of Lynchburg, VA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Medical City Plano in Plano, TX. She was born on May 2, 1938 in Newton Falls, OH, the daughter of the late Louis Chicko and Mary Ann (Bulvony) Chicko. She married the love of her life, Philip E. Partin on November 10, 1956, and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage until he passed away on October 17, 2017. Mrs. Partin was a member of St. Thomas More Church in Lynchburg, VA and was very active in her church activities, the Christian Women's Club, Newcomer's Club, and as a volunteer for many other activities. She is survived by: two sons: Mark (Renita) Partin of Dallas, TX, and Dr. Alan (Vicky) Partin of Baltimore, MD and two grandsons David & Sara Partin of Baltimore, and Michael & Abby Partin of Harrisburg, PA, and 1 sister: Patt Dubos of Newton Falls, and 1 great Grandson: Andrew James Partin. Preceding her in death was her parents, husband Philip, 1 son, David Lee Partin and 2 sisters, Betty Jean Sheely and Carol Sheldon. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00am on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls with funeral services to immediately follow at the funeral home at 11:00am. Marilyn will be laid to rest beside her husband Philip at St. Joseph Cemetery in Newton Falls. The family requests that any remembrances be made to the St. Thomas More Church Building Fund 3015 Roundelay Rd. Lynchburg, VA 24502 in memory of Philip & Marilyn Partin.
