Marilyn Rood, age 60 of Braceville passed into eternal life on Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Hospice House in Poland at 12:24 am. Marilyn was born on October 23, 1951 in Olive Hill, KY the daugther of the late Louis Mays & Louise (Evans) Mays. Marilyn married the love of her life, Ronald Rood on May 15, 1971 and they enjoyed 39 years of marriage together before his passing on April 21, 2011. She has lived in Braceville since 1964 formerly of Austintown and was a member of the Braceville Christian Church. Marilyn worked as an auto assembler for Nescor Plastics in Mespotamia. She loved to ride motorcycles, read and garden and most of all her grandchildren. Memories of Marilyn will be carried on by her loving family; her daughter & son-in-law, Vanessa & Rich Chamberlain; her son & daughter-in-law, Ronald F. & Rebecca Rood, Jr. all of Braceville; her brothers; Deryl E. Mays of Warren, Mitchell D. Mays of Austintown; and 2 grandchildren, Ty Louis and Teegan Lee Chamberlain. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald, her son-in-law, Mark Starnes and her sister, Charlene Carrol. Calling hours will be held at James Funeral Home on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 10:30 am at the funeral home with Rev. Jon Pratt officiating. Marilyn will be laid to rest next to her husband Ronald at Braceville Cemetery.
