Beloved sister and aunt Marlene Ruth Ben age 39 (or 81) of Pricetown passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday night, December. 8, 2023.  She was born on March 30, 1942 in Pricetown, Ohio the daughter of the late Michael T. Ben and Elva A. (Shade) Ben.  She grew up in Pricetown and graduated from Jackson Milton High School in 1961. Marlene worked as an Assembler/Inspector for General Electric and IBM for many years. She lived in Illinois, North Carolina, and Arizona before moving back to Pricetown 26 years ago.

Marlene loved her family and her animals. She kept a watchful eye over her loved ones and had a special calling as a devoted and generous caregiver to many people throughout her life. Marlene always had a genuine interest in others and will be remembered as "a good ol girl" by the people who loved her. Marlene enjoyed puzzles and scratch off tickets but delighted in the sights and sounds of the slot machines in a casino.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: Floyd Lewis, Wilford Lewis, Michael Ben, and 3 sisters: Betty McIe, Eloise Hacker and Carol DeBolt.

Marlene is survived by 1 brother: Thomas D. Ben (Pricetown, Ohio) many nieces, nephews and her best friend Charlie the dog.

Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life Service will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Tuesday Dec. 12, 2023 at 7:00pm with Pastor Brett Dorsey officiating.  The family will receive friends for calling hours one hour prior from 6:00- 7:00pm. She will be laid to rest at Hawley Cemetery in Paris Twp, OH.
