Marlene Joyce Fenton, 72 of Southington, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital due to heart failure. Marlene was born September 5, 1941 in Massillion. Marlene married Charles L. Fenton on December 16, 1990. They were blessed with 22 years of marriage. Marlene retired in 2009 as a registered nurse after 40+ years at St. Joseph Hospital. She enjoyed hooking rugs and collecting stuffed teddy bears. Loving memories of Marlene will be carried on by her husband, Charles L. Fenton of Southington, daughter, Tammi (Corke) Burilson of San Antonio, TX, step daughters, Jody Shaffer of AZ, Rina Fenton of CA. brother, David Laflin of Lake Arrowhead, CA, step-sisters, Sadi Puskas of N. Canton, Jeri Lynn Southworth of Canton, step-brother, Daniel Southworth of Canton, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Marlene was preceeded in death by her father, her mother & stepfather, Dorothy & Jay Southworth and her daughter, Tawnya. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
