Martin Shane Gunnoe, age 56 of Kent entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Akron City Hospital. Martin was born in Ravenna on September 9, 1956 the son of Willard and Eleanor (Farley) Gunnoe, Martin has lived for the past two years in Kent, moving from Ravenna where he had lived his entire life. He was a machinist at Valve Trol in Stow for the past 3 1/2 years. He was previously employed by Hydra Cast Inc. in Ravenna and Joy Manufacturing in Solon. Martin was an avid Ohio State fan, Cleveland Browns fan, and enjoyed other sports like football, baseball and bowling. He also enjoyed music. Loving memories of Martin will be carried on by his daughter, Angie Gunnoe of Columbus, his son, Kyle Loar of North Jackson, sister, Jan (Walt) Vasil of Ellaville, GA, brothers, Scooter (Karen) Gunnoe of Riverside, FL, Dana (Patricia) Gunnoe of Ravenna, Chet (Judy) Gunnoe of Twinsburg and one grandchild. Martin was preceeded in death by his parents, daughter, Allison Ann Gunnoe and his sister, Frenchie Newcomb. Per the family's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 5:30 pm at Faith Evangelical Free Church, 10585 Windham Parkman Rd., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
