Maxine L. Cross, age 87, of Newton Falls passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. She was born on March 6, 1925 in Fabias, WV the daughter of the late Solomon Alston Ludwig and Nola Alice (Earle) Ludwig. She has lived in Newton Falls since 1973 formerly of Baltimore, Maryland. Maxine loved being a housewife and stayed at home to raise her six children. Maxine was married to Charles Carroll Cross, who preceded her in death. She enjoyed crafting, gardening and making Christmas ornaments for everyone in her family year after year. Memories of Maxine will be carried on by her loving family; her daughters Jacqueline McCauley of Wooster, OH, Donna Lynn Kesling of Newton Falls, Marilyn & Ray Hoppa of Baltimore, MD; her son Steven Outten of Baltimore, MD; her brother Austin & Peggy Ludwig of Hebron, IN; her 9 grandchildren and her 9 great-grandchildren. Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, and 2 sons Richard and James Outten. Cremation has taken place and Maxine will be laid to rest next to her parents in Sperry's Run Cemetery in Rio, WV.
