Melissa Lynn Greathouse, age 47 of Braceville entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in Newport News, VA while visiting family. Melissa was born on September 13, 1969 in Richmond, VA the daughter of Thomas Wayne & Betty Lou (Hensley) Christian. She has resided in Braceville for the past 12 years. Melissa married Garry "Buster" James Greathouse on June 10, 2005. Melissa and Garry recently celebrated 12 years of marriage. Melissa was an LPN and an insurance agent for Nationwide Insurance Company. She enjoyed writing poetry and was an avid collector of teddy bears and Elvis, Wizard of Oz and Gone with the Wind memorabilia. Loving memories of Melissa will be carried on by her husband Garry Greathouse of Braceville, daughters; Sheryle Williams of VA, Brianna Woolard of Newton Falls, Jerica Greathouse of Newton Falls, sons; Bradley Woolard of Newton Falls, Brandon Woolard of Newton Falls, Garry Greathouse Jr. of California, brother Wayne Christian of VA and 4 grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
