Michael D. Moritz, age 77, of Paris Twp snuck in through the pearly gates on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on Aug. 3, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Robert Eugene Moritz and Dolores Rose (Fleckenstein) Moritz. After graduating from Garfield Heights High in 1966, he proudly served in the US Army with the Big Red One Infantry during the Vietnam War, earning a Purple Heart Medal. Formerly of Melbourne Beach, Florida, Mike worked as a carpenter when he wasn't fishing. There wasn't a fish he couldn't catch, a cold beer he wouldn't drink or a rock n' roll song he didn't know the words to. Above all, he enjoyed being Papa most to his girls. He left this world days after casting his very first presidential vote. TRUMP 2024. He is survived by 2 daughters: Marina & Larry Leho of Diamond, Ohio, Michelle Majors of Ravenna, Ohio, 6 grandchildren: Marissa, Ashley, Amariss, Alex, Amber, Krystal, and 7 great grandchildren: Harlow, Lola, Indy, Bentley, Patty, Kayden, and Kylie.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
